There is a particular kind of tiredness that comes from chasing. Refreshing the inbox. Checking whether the thing you want has moved any closer. Doing one more thing, in case that is the thing that finally works.
Florence Scovel Shinn had a different idea about how good things arrive, and she put it in one sentence.
The one line this is built on
In The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn, Shinn gives a woman an affirmation to repeat. In her sequel, Your Word Is Your Wand, she tells us what happened: the woman wanted a place on the stage, had no experience, and repeated the line hundreds of times. She was given an important part in a successful opera. Her words afterward were simply that it was a miracle.
The line was this:
"Infinite Spirit, open the way for my great abundance. I am an irresistible magnet for all that belongs to me by divine right."
Two halves, and both of them matter. The first half asks for the way to be opened. The second half says who you already are while it opens.
Why a magnet and not a chase
A magnet does not reach. It does not persuade. It does not deserve its way into being magnetic. It simply has a quality, and the things that answer to that quality come toward it.
That is the shift Shinn is after. Not working harder at getting, but becoming the kind of person your good moves toward. And notice the phrase she uses twice: by divine right. She is not talking about taking what belongs to someone else. She is talking about what is already yours finding its way home.
The affirmations, "I" version
These are the lines in the video, in order. They run as one continuous loop, which means you hear the whole set again every few minutes while you sleep.
- Infinite Spirit, open the way for great abundance for me. I am an irresistible magnet for all that belongs to me by divine right.
- Everything that is mine by divine right now moves toward me.
- I do not chase my good. My good comes to me.
- The magnet is not something I build. It is something I am.
- What belongs to me cannot pass me by.
- I draw to me the people, the places, and the opportunities that carry my good.
- Infinite Spirit opens the way before me.
- Every door that is mine opens easily.
- Divine Love dissolves every condition standing between me and my good.
- Nothing in my mind blocks my supply.
- I release every thought of lack, and the way is clear.
- As one door closes, another door opens.
The affirmations, "You" version
Some people take affirmations best in their own voice, as a first-person declaration. Others find "I am" hard to say when they do not yet believe it, and hear the "you" version more easily, the way you would take a kind word from someone who knows you well. Neither is more advanced than the other. Use whichever one your body relaxes into.
- Infinite Spirit, open the way for great abundance for you. You are an irresistible magnet for all that belongs to you by divine right.
- Everything that is yours by divine right now moves toward you.
- You do not chase your good. Your good comes to you.
- The magnet is not something you build. It is something you are.
- What belongs to you cannot pass you by.
- You draw to you the people, the places, and the opportunities that carry your good.
- Infinite Spirit opens the way before you.
- Every door that is yours opens easily.
- Divine Love dissolves every condition standing between you and your good.
- Nothing in your mind blocks your supply.
- You release every thought of lack, and the way is clear.
- As one door closes, another door opens.
About 528 Hz
The background music is tuned to 528 Hz, a frequency often associated with repair and transformation in sound healing traditions. There is no medical claim being made here. What it does reliably is give the voice a warm, steady bed to sit on, so the loop feels continuous rather than repetitive, and so nothing in the mix pulls you back awake.
How to use it
- Play it at a low volume as you fall asleep, low enough that you stop tracking the words.
- Let the loop repeat. Do not count the rounds. Repetition is the whole method.
- If you are awake, you can speak along quietly. If you are drifting, let it wash over you.
- Headphones are recommended but not required.
- Give it more than one night. Shinn's woman said the line hundreds of times.
Who this is for
For anyone in a season of waiting. A job that has not come through yet, money that is tight, an opportunity that seems to be circling without landing. This is not about forcing any of that. It is about putting down the chase for eight hours and letting a quieter idea take its place: what is yours is already on its way to you.
Listen or download
The full eight-hour version is free on the video on YouTube. If you would rather have it offline, the one-hour loopable download is in our shop.
