Why Am I / Why Are You So Prosperous? Sleep Askfirmations

What If Prosperity Was Already Your Most Natural State?

Most affirmations tell you what to believe. Askfirmations ask your brain to find the proof. Instead of saying "I am prosperous," you ask "Why am I so prosperous?" — and your subconscious mind goes to work searching for the answer. This is the power of the askfirmation method, popularized by author Noah St. John, and it works especially well while you sleep.

We have two versions of this audio — one in the first person ("Why am I so prosperous?") and one in the second person ("Why are you so prosperous?") — so you can choose the one that resonates most, or use both on alternating nights.

Both versions are on YouTube → Watch on YouTube

What Are Askfirmations?

When you make a statement like "I am prosperous," your conscious mind may push back if it doesn't yet believe it. But when you ask "Why am I so prosperous?" your brain automatically searches for reasons — and finds them. Over time, this gently rewires your default thinking around abundance and thriving.

This approach draws on the same principles found in Joseph Murphy's The Power of Your Subconscious Mind — that the subconscious accepts what it is repeatedly given, especially during the hypnagogic state just before sleep. Askfirmations work with that natural window rather than against it.

First Person vs. Second Person — Which Should You Use?

The first-person version ("Why am I so prosperous?") puts you in the driver's seat. You are the one asking, and your own subconscious is the one answering. It feels active and empowering.

The second-person version ("Why are you so prosperous?") feels more like receiving a truth from someone who already sees you as thriving. Many listeners find it easier to absorb a belief when it comes from outside themselves — it bypasses the inner critic in a different way.

Try both and notice which one you feel more in your body. There is no wrong answer.
